Pasta with Aglio Olio + Seafood

This recipe is part of RM15 Meal program.
A delicious yet easy meal for 4-6 pax with cost not more than RM 15.

(RM = Ringgit Malaysia)

1/2 cup (around 125ml) of Olive Oil 3
8 cloves Garlic – grated 0.5
1 Yellow onion, chopped 0.3
1 can Tuna-drained (Preferably Tuna in   Water) 5
8-10 pcs Mussel 3
1 tsp Dry Oregano or Parsley 0.2
1 tsp Coarse Black Pepper (or dry   chilli flake) 0.2
½ tsp (to taste) 0
450-500 gr Pasta (Spaghetti or   Fettucine or Angel Hair)+1 tbsp salt 3





For the Pasta:

  1. Boil enough water, add 1 tbsp of salt to it
  2. When the water starts to boil, put in the pasta, cook according to the time given in the package (al dente)
  3. Adjust the heat to avoid the water from over boiled, stir once in a while


For the Sauce:

  1. Heat up the non-stick pan
  2. Once the pan is hot, lower the heat to Medium Low, add the Olive Oil
  3. Make sure the pan is not too hot to burn the Olive Oil
  4. Add the chopped yellow onion, cook for a while
  5. Add grated garlic, whisk a couple of second
  6. Add mussel, cook for a while
  7. Add drained tuna
  8. Continue with medium low heat
  9. Add the oregano or parsley, coarse black pepper, salt (to taste)
  10. Put in the cooked and drained pasta to the pan
  11. Ready to serve



  • You can replace the mussel with clams, we just need the seafood broth from it
  • If you have extra budget, you can add shrimp, squid, other seafood meat.
